Osteopathy
Osteopaths are consulted by people of all
ages, from babies to the young at heart and offer assistance in a wide
variety of musculoskeletal conditions including:

back and neck pain,

arthritis,
-
sports and work injuries
Osteopaths assist in
recovery from pain and improving general wellbeing through gentle "hands
on" therapy and advice on posture, activities of daily life, exercise
and diet.
Osteopaths have completed 5
years of study at University and are registered by the government before
entering practice.
During your first
consultation, your osteopath will ask questions and examine you for any
pathology or injury as well as stiffness, weakness, strength and
patterns of muscle support. The findings will be discussed with you to
develop a treatment plan that will assist recovery, reduce pain and
improve general well being.
In addition strategies to
prevent re-occurrence will be worked out with you.
Osteopaths also provide,
massage, mobilisation and manipulation of joints (where appropriate),
exercise therapy, advice on workplace setup, advice on diet and other
preventative strategies .

Steven Sparavec D.O(Syd.) M.A.O.A
Steven graduated from the Pacific College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983 and has been in private practise since that time. Steven has a wide range of skills, ranging from spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation, down to postural re-education, using various exercise modalities. Steven also uses Ultrasound, Laser and Interferential therapies in his work to help speed up the healing process.
Emphasis is placed on patient education to assist in the overall result and success of recovery. Steven has a deep interest in health and fitness and tries to impart his enthusiasm to his patients to enable long term results. Steven has completed numerous post graduate courses and is continuing in his quest for further knowledge to give him the leading edge in the rapidly changing world of musculo-skeletal medicine.

Jennifer has worked in the fitness industry for twelve years, specialising in exercise rehabilitation and has also orked as a Pilates Instructor for five years. Jennifer completed her studies at the University of Western Sydney. She has a passion for the use of exercise in the correction of poor posture, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Jennifer employs a wide range of Osteopathic techniques, with a wholistic approach and long term correction of mechanical dysfunction being her aim in treatment.
